From Classes VII through XII, our school provides a curriculum that blends academic routine with real-world experience. Students can choose from range of academic and non-academic courses based on their personal interest. In order to develop practical skills for future employment, students can enrol in Electrical and Welding courses, which offer specialized technical and vocational education.

TVET Program

Punakha Central School's TVET Program is a premier project that equips students with practical, technical and vocational skills necessary for employment and entrepreneurship in Bhutan's expanding industries. The program is mainly available to students in classes XI and XII, focuses on electrical engineering and welding skills with practical craftsmanship and safety awareness.

Course Goals

  • To give students both basic and advanced knowledge of electrical installation systems, welding methods, and metal fabrication.
  • To promote employability and innovation by bridging the knowledge gap between academia and industry.
  • To foster the virtues of responsibility, discipline, accuracy, and teamwork qualities essential for technical careers.

Special Education Needs (SEN)

As a Special Education Needs (SEN) Center, Punakha Central School is proud to provide inclusive and compassionate education for all children. The SEN program assists kids with a range of learning capacities, including cognitive, physical, emotional, and behavioural development.

Course Goals

  • To create individualized education plans (IEPs) based on the strengths and difficulties of each student.
  • To create a welcoming, stigma-free atmosphere that promotes self-assurance, social engagement, and independence.
